Shadie Ellington

Shadie is a part of HIP’s investment arm - Inicio Ventures - and supports the organization in sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management. Prior to HIP Shadie worked in the financial industry, the biotechnology industry, and even started her own company (where she fell in love with the venture capital space).
Shadie studied chemical and biomedical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. When she’s not working Shadie enjoys all things beauty, volunteering, and traveling. Shadie grew up in Miami, Fl and her family is from Guatemala and Belize where she spent every summer growing up.
